Music is a powerful way to enhance the emotional aspect of your presentation. Recent changes to U.S. copyright laws governing the use of music can be confusing so we've broken things down into 4 easy to understand options. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
1. Royalty Free Music (recommended) - Royalty Free Music means Perfect Picture Show has gained permission from the artist to use their work in our presentations. We maintain a large library of Royalty Free music and are happy to select the perfect music to compliment your story. There is never a charge to use selections from our royalty free collection. The use of Royalty Free Music is a great choice should you wish to purchase additional copies of your presentation.*
2. Original Compositions - Music you have personally composed and performed may be used in any way you choose but must be supplied in an MP3 or MP4 format. Using original compositions is another good choice should you wish to purchase additional copies of your special presentation. *
3. Purchased Rights - A stock company sells "use" rights to the music found in their library which is also a good choice should you decide to purchase multiple copies of your presentation. Music must be supplied in an MP3 or MP4. A copy of the license agreement must also accompany the music file. Sometimes a "use" license will require the artist be given credit for their work. In those instances we will create an artist credit at the end of the presentation.*
We recommend Pond5 as this stock company maintains an extensive music library at many different price points. A "standard license" will generally work but be sure to review license terms to ensure it will meet your needs.
4. A Popular Song I Already Own - Purchasing a CD or a musical work gives the purchaser the right to privately listen to a song but it may not be used legally for a public performance. A public performance includes any venue open to the public or at any place where a substantial number of people will be present that are outside your normal circle of family and social acquaintances. For private social gatherings use of a song is likely acceptable.
If you wish to use a song you already own, Please be sure to sign the music order section of the instruction form, indicating You, as the Client, attest that any presentation created on your behalf by Perfect Picture Show from a popular song you already own is for personal, non-commercial use only and will never be duplicated.*
Music must be supplied as
(Cd will be returned, CD copies can not be accepted).

We recommend avoiding the use of a "popular song" if posting to social media
